Deutz is pursuing a new industrial strategy with the acquisition of German company Frerk Aggregatebau

Deutz is evolving its industrial strategy, freeing itself from its engine business and aiming to become a global energy solutions provider. This is the context for its recent acquisition of the German company Frerk Aggregatebau, a European leader in emergency power systems for critical infrastructure. Through this investment, the value of which has not yet been disclosed, Deutz will gain privileged access to the data center sector, which represents approximately 50 percent of Frerk Aggregatebau’s revenue and, driven by artificial intelligence, is experiencing annual growth rates of approximately 20 percent. Combined with the previous acquisition of the American company Blue Star Power Systems, Frerk will also enable Deutz to create a global and scalable portfolio for decentralized energy supply, a sector the German company expects to generate revenue of €500 million by 2030.
